Some good learning resources for free !!

Hey, good news friends ! The MIT puts a lot of resources online for free ! check the opencourseware policy of the university online . That's at least a super example of what European institutions and universities should propose...isn't that all public money after all ?

Informal education website

Preparing a huge Learning Organization project for a major client, I was studying the system thinking approach of Peter Senge . And during my reading, I discovered an excellent social learning educational site. If you have some interest in the question, check the Infed organization .

Magma Consulting at Solutions Business (Charleroi, Belgium)

A good initiative has been taken by the Walloon region with hosting an important innovation conference. The proposed themes were all around IT , marketing and innovation. And...guess what ? some KM themes were presented as well. More info about all this can be found at www.mlg-consulting.com/websites/solutions-business .

Universal Vodaphone 3G testing

I'm currently involved in a beta test for rolling out a universal Vodaphone access in Belgium. This is a real wireless revolution, allowing to update and connect from almost everywhere in major european , american and asian countries. Very concluding and inspiring for many many bloggers , I'm pretty sure!

Magma Consulting coaches !

I received this month the opportunity to be coach of the Bizidee initiative, an entrepreneurship project sponsored by the Belgian Flemish region. We will participate as project coach, helping the candidates to propose their business plan and to formulate their (business) idea correctly. This is certainly one of the most exciting moment in a SME life - when you're about making your idea real and concrete, especially in front of a well-known jury... For more info about the Bizidee project, have a look at their web site .

New Microsoft Architecture journal (n°10)

Just to mention the two good (amongst others, of course) articles in the latest MS Architecture journal (you will find it here within a few days) about Data quality through Enterprise Information Architecture and a sound approach in 'Better Improvement through better architected software'. It's all clear we're moving from a line of business driven software development to a real and deep end-user interaction, being able to define and describe, even to design, itself what he needs to have on the screen.

Happy New 2007 !

Well, it has been a while since the last post, sorry for that. Too much work on projects and internal requests, keeping the nose on the wheel... But one good resolution for this year will be to start with the UnBla conference in Zwitzerland within one week, where I'll be presenting the KM article I wrote about my experience within KPMG in Belgium. A good opportunity to meet some other information management experts and to share potential new research projects within the FP 7.0 of the European Commission's IST programme. Some more feedback will be available online, I'm pretty sure of that. Anyway, I you want to find some info on the UnBla conference, please check the UnBla site . See you in Luzern next week ?
